What are chemical peels?

Are chemical peels painful?
In general, you may feel a mild stinging sensation during a light or medium chemical peel. Deep peels are only done by plastic surgeons or dermatologists.
How long is the recovery period?
Mild peels require virtually no recovery time though the skin may be slightly irritated after the peel. You can return to your normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
Can chemical peels be performed on the body?
For body chemical peels they are typically comprised of a combination of TCA and Glycolic acid. The solution for body chemical peels is formulated to be stronger than the solution for facial skin peels.
Are chemical peels good for stretch marks?
Yes, chemical peels can also be used on the body to minimize stretch marks. |
