Acne is a skin condition characterized by whiteheads, blackheads, red pimples and zits. Many people, especially teens and young adults, suffer from this unsightly and many times embarrassing condition. However, acne should not be regarded as something untreatable. In recent years, many forms of therapy have been developed to remove and control acne. |
Since acne comes in many forms, Skintology has designed an individual approach which takes into account a person's skin type, acne type, diet, products used, etc. and forms an effective regimen for successful removal and control of acne. Because of this, the type of therapy received will vary according to the type of acne, severity and extent of the acne, as well as the client's day to day activities. |
Mild acne, the lightest form of acne consisting of mild legions, blackheads, and whiteheads at the surface of the skin, can be treated with creams and skin treatments. The purpose of these topical creams is to prevent new blemishes from forming, while treatment speeds the healing process and clears your acne. Since different combinations work better for some individuals than others, Skintology recommends treatment every 4-5 weeks until the acne is under control. |
