What You Should Know About Laser Scar Removal

Pre-Treatment:

• Sun exposure and tanning should be avoided for several days prior and post treatment.
• Please do not apply make-up or lotion on the treated area.
• Any antibiotics or Accutane should not be taken at least 3 weeks before treatment.

The Treatment:

• Each treatment is 10-15 minutes.
• Laser Scar Removal is done through a series of pulses after a cooling gel is applied to your skin.

Post-Treatment:

• The treated area will appear slightly red.
• Keep skin clean and use sun block with a minimum of SPF 30 daily.
• The next treatment should be scheduled within 3-4 weeks after the initial treatment.
• If you should experience any irritation or rash after treatment taking Benadryl should help relieve these symptoms.

The Results:

• After treatment the redness usually subsides within a few hours and returns back to normal.
