Microdermabrasion is a traditional method of resurfacing the superficial layer of skin to help exfoliate dead skin cells. The device also allows for infusion of hydrating agents and topical skin care elements at the same time of the resurfacing. This hydrating deep facial leaves your skin glowing and soft! Many proponents of regular medical skin care consider dermabrasion to be a must for skin care maintenance, and this procedure can be performed every several months.
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure used to exfoliate and remove the superficial layer of dry, dead skin cells in order to achieve a clearer complexion. Microdermabrasion is often performed prior to facials, peels, and laser skin treatments in order to produce the best possible results with those procedures. However, it can also be performed as a stand-alone procedure, and has many benefits, including:
- Reducing or eliminating enlarged pores
- Reducing and evening out blemishes and age spots
- Smoothing the skin
- Reducing fine lines and wrinkles
- Improving hyperpigmentation, dark spots, and blackheads
- Exfoliating the skin
- Treating acne and acne scars
- Reducing the appearance of stretch marks
When you receive microdermabrasion, our [dr_type] will begin by cleaning and toning your skin. A spray of microcrystals or a diamond-tipped wand will then be used to remove the surface layer of skin, revealing the younger, healthier-looking skin beneath. In addition to removing the outermost layer of dead skin, microdermabrasion encourages higher levels of collagen and elastin, which further enhances your appearance to give you a healthier, more youthful look.

Microdermabrasion is a cosmetic facial procedure that removes the outer layers of skin to exfoliate and clear your skin and complexion. It may be performed using a facial or peel treatment, or with a laser.
First, we will cleanse your skin. Then we will apply an exfoliating material and machine-based suction to gently lift the dead skin away from your face so that fresh, clear skin can appear beneath.
Microdermabrasion is a safe, non-invasive, and very gentle procedure. While you will need to use moisturizer and sunblock for 48 hours, you may return to your normal activities as soon as you leave our office. You may also experience mild redness and peeling, but this will subside shortly.
Three to six microdermabrasion treatment sessions are recommended to achieve the best results. These treatments are usually schedule at one-week intervals. You should notice an improvement in your skins appearance shortly after your treatment. Some patient report changes in their skin after the first treatment, but major improvements (such as the reduction of scars and wrinkles) may take several treatments to appear.
