What is NuEra?
NuEra is an innovative, temperature-controlled radiofrequency treatment that has been developed to address multiple concerns simultaneously. The FDA has cleared this device for superficial and deep heating of the dermal and sub-dermal layers of the skin, where collagen production and remodeling occur.
What Areas Can NuEra™ Tight Treat?
Radiofrequency affects the skin in a few ways: first, it precisely heats targeted tissue for contraction and renewal. Then, as a result of dermal heating, the fibroblast cells beneath the skin increase their activity, sending healthy new collagen protein into the dermis for ongoing remodeling. The superficial and deep heating aspects of NuEra make this radiofrequency treatment an outstanding option for improving the appearance of the skin by decreasing:
- Fine lines and creases
- Tissue laxity
- Poor skin tone
Featuring a number of handheld applicators in varying sizes, the NuEra device can administer powerful radiofrequency energy to areas of the face and body including the:
- Upper arms
- Bra area and back
- Inner and outer thighs
How does NuEra work?
NuEra radiofrequency treatment reduces cellulite and improves tissue laxity consistently by targeting tissue at superficial and subdermal levels. Passing through the epidermis, specific frequencies absorb into the collagen matrix beneath the skin.
The precise heating of this network of collagen fibers causes contraction for immediate skin-tightening. The healing cascade of collagen proliferation continues to expand on the initial improvement by flooding tissue with healthy new proteins that improve firmness, elasticity, and suppleness over time.
How is The NuEra Procedure Performed?
NuEra skin tightening treatments are conducted in a private treatment room where the patient can lie or sit back comfortably. After a cool gel is applied to the skin, a conductor will be moved over the target area in a circular or sweeping fashion. The device gradually intensifies energy output to precisely heat varying layers of tissue as the hand piece moves across the skin.
This is achieved with built-in adjustability and smart heat-sensing. As energy is absorbed, the patient may feel a warming sensation. Facial treatments may take as little as 10 to 15 minutes, while body areas may take up to 25 minutes.
What is the Recovery from Nuera Rf Treatment?
One of the aspects of NuEra radiofrequency treatment that patients appreciate the most is that there is no downtime needed to recover. Due to energy absorption into the subdermal layer of tissue, the skin may appear slightly red after treatment.
This can last as little as a few hours or for a full day after treatment. Patients may wish to empty their schedule for the remainder of the day after receiving NuEra just to be safe.
Is NuEra™ Tight Painful?
The RF skin rejuvenation is generally very tolerable. Patients who are concerned with their comfort level are encouraged to speak with a member of our staff before the day of treatment. We can discuss strategies for improving comfort, such as taking a pain reliever prior to treatment.
Every person is different in their tolerance for heat absorption, but most patients describe a warm sensation as energy penetrates the various depths of their skin.
The NuEra™ Tight device is designed for comfort as it uses temperate control technology. During treatment, the device is slowly swept across the area being treated to gradually heat the skin without causing any pain.
Can Nuera Be Combined with Other Treatments?
Radiofrequency treatments are generally mild and may be combined with other modalities such as laser treatments, injectables, and chemical peels. However, we may schedule complementary treatments for a separate appointment if necessary to assure the best outcome from each individual technique.
How Many Treatments Will I Need to See Results?
RF treatments work in concert with the body’s natural functions, which means every person may experience unique results. Generally, improvements begin to occur after just one session. We can estimate the number of treatments a person may need based on the condition of their skin before NuEra and the extent of improvement they wish to achieve.
How Long Will Results Last After Nuera Treatment?
Collagen production continues to increase for months after radiofrequency skin tightening. Patients report sustained satisfaction up to 12 months after the completion of their recommended treatment plan. With occasional touch-ups, sunscreen use, and good skin care, the results of NuEra can last years.
Our experienced staff has been serving all areas of New York City for several years. Our dedication to outstanding results is your ticket to gorgeous skin.
Are There Any Risks to Rf Skin Treatments with Nuera?
Radiofrequency works by heating varying depths of dermal tissue. For this reason, it is important to obtain treatment from a trained professional who has experience and in-depth knowledge of the energy being used. Risks of radiofrequency include bruising and blistering resulting from overheating of one or more layers of tissue. There is also a risk of infection and open-wounds, but these are very rare.
We take every precaution to ensure patient comfort and safety during each treatment we perform. For more information on risks vs. rewards, schedule a personal consultation with us.
