Which Way to a Younger-Looking Face?

With the development of so many outstanding skin-tightening, facial-lifting treatments to come along in recent years, you would think that any uncertainty about anti-aging protocols would diminish. In fact, what can happen is a person finds him or herself endlessly researching innovative new treatments, ultimately postponing any method that may improve their aesthetic. Here, we want to discuss the differences between a few of the facial rejuvenation treatments we offer so you can better understand which why you might move to get the younger look you want.

Liquid Lifting

Injectables have become one of the most common methods of treating facial aging. Why wouldn’t they? A 10-minute Botox treatment can lift the brow noticeably enough to make the eyes appear more open and friendly. Botox can also increase the appeal of the face by restoring an upward lift to the corners of the mouth. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, work by adding volume. These products can round the apples of the cheeks and add definition along the cheekbones. Fillers are also a great way to reduce the obvious signs of aging around the eyes, such as sagging, puffy lids.

What to know: injectables are convenient, comfortable, and affordable. Results typically last anywhere from 3 months to 2 years, depending on a product.

Thread Lifting

We are pleased to incorporate minimally invasive thread-lifting into our extensive menu of services. This procedure is conducted in the office using the local anesthetic. There is no downtime associated with thread-lift treatment. Most patients experience mild swelling if that. Our team has been performing instant thread lifts for 6 years, and we continue to see excellent results in patients who want to lift tissues across the midface or another area without the complexity of a surgical lift.

What to know: A thread lift falls in between facial fillers and a surgical lift. This minor procedure provides immediate results that can last years due to the subsequent production of collagen around the absorbable suture.

Ultherapy Skin Tightening

When loose skin is the problem, Ultherapy may be an ideal solution. This non-surgical, non-invasive treatment has been routinely performed for the past several years. It works by heating subdermal tissues in a controlled manner so as not to disrupt the general health of the epidermis. The heating of collagen within connective tissue causes immediate contraction and lasting improvement.

What to know: Ultrasound skin tightening through Ultherapy typically provides dramatic results with just one treatment. This method may require yearly maintenance for ongoing anti-aging effects.
